Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Shannon Halliday went to school in Boston on a Division 1 volleyball scholarship where she studied architecture with an emphasis in urban planning. While in Boston, she gained valuable experience working on high-end residential designs as well as institutional projects. After college she joined the team of a prestigious Santa Barbara architecture firm, where she worked on a variety of project types including residential, commercial and institutional. While in California, Shannon had the opportunity to participate in the design of single family homes, as well as several commercial building types including a boating center, bank, gas station and collector car hangar. Shannon's broad experience has provided her with a unique expertise on a variety of construction typologies. In 2013 her and her husband relocated to Ocean City where they launched Halliday Architects. Together, they share a passion for design and have had the opportunity to design residential, multi-family and commercial projects in South Jersey.

Architecture has always appealed to Shannon because it is a creative art form that holds the potential to not only shape spaces, but also influence society. Her close attention to detail results in a design process that is comprehensive and thoughtful. Shannon approaches architecture as an opportunity to improve the built environment by creating comfortable spaces which enhance the occupant's quality of life. She enjoys working closely with her clients to make their design aspirations become a reality.
