From a young age Chris has always had a passion for architecture. Growing up in Ocean City, New Jersey with a family involved in design and construction, he gravitates toward solving architectural challenges. During the design process Chris strives to integrate the interior, exterior and landscape in homes and work places. Upon graduating from Northeastern University, Chris moved to Santa Barbara, California where he worked for two award winning architectural firms. Chris gained valuable experience working on custom homes, restaurants and high-end retail projects, including Louis Vuitton stores in California and Hawaii.

Upon choosing to return to his local roots where Chris maintained many connections in the building and design industry, he and his wife, Shannon, moved to Ocean City in 2013. He saw an opportunity to bring a new energy to the community through design and launched Halliday Architects. He is excited to implement the knowledge he has gained through his work in California and Hawaii in his designs on the New Jersey shore. Chris approaches design as a response to the local vernacular, new technologies and the functional relationship of spaces. Additionally, he pays close attention the local climate and environmental factors when designing architecture. He takes pride in surpassing his client's expectations in all phases of the architectural process.
